Andy Horn is a hard‑knocking prospector who’s taken a two‑month “vacation” on Io to hunt for the moon’s hidden radium deposits. He’s not alone—his companion is Oscar, a witty, talking honey‑bear from Ganymede who keeps morale high as they trek the jagged, wind‑howled cliffs. Their aim is simple: strike a claim that will fund Andy’s dream of owning a sleek private space yacht docked on Luna.
Their routine is shattered when a rival prospector, armed with a lethal heat‑ray gun, appears out of the sulfur‑streaked shadows. Andy is forced to duck behind rocks as the beam sears the air, and Oscar’s nervous chatter warns of danger. The tense standoff quickly escalates, turning the barren landscape into a battlefield of clever gadgets and split‑second decisions.
With the odds stacked against them, Andy must rely on his grit, Oscar’s unexpected insight, and a few risky tricks to survive the first deadly encounter and keep his dream alive.
