The Legend of Monte della Sibilla; or, Le paradis de la reine Sibille

A wandering knight from the Holy Roman Empire, Hans van Branbourg, sets out for the legendary Monte Sibillino, lured by rumors of a hidden sanctuary that defies nature itself. The journey takes him across the rolling Tuscan valleys, past whispering winds and eerie noises that hint at a world beyond ordinary perception. When he finally reaches the cavern’s bronze and crystal gates, a mysterious lady‑porter greets him, and the stone doors swing open to reveal the fabled realm of the Sibyl.

Inside, the explorer discovers a dazzling court of enchanting women, sumptuous halls, and gardens that seem to bloom out of thin air. Presided over by the enigmatic Queen Sibylle, the place offers hospitality wrapped in riddles and strange rules that test the courage and curiosity of any visitor.
