Their days flow with humble rituals, from making honey‑sweet drinks to caring for a lone donkey that carries him through the winding paths of their village.

One stormy night, a thunder‑laden caravan forces its way into the secluded settlement, led by a striking woman whose arrival unsettles the quiet routine. The travelers seek shelter in Athanaz’s cramped home, and the monk must balance his hospitality with the sudden presence of armed men. As the rain lashes the hills, the unexpected guests bring rumors of distant lands and hidden motives, hinting at challenges that could test the monk’s steadfast serenity.
