A haunted boy grows up convinced that reality is constantly slipping away. From dark, locked rooms where lights flicker on and off without explanation, to endless accusations of theft he never committed, his early years are a maze of suspicion and whispered doubts. The narrative follows his struggle to prove his sanity while the world around him seems to conspire against him, pushing him into a reform school that only deepens his sense of isolation.
Now an adult, he slips into a modest church gathering, masquerading as a desperate drifter with a hidden agenda. With a makeshift device tucked away and a carefully crafted story, he plans to turn the congregation’s generosity to his own ends. The story balances eerie childhood memories with the tense, low‑key scheming of a man who refuses to be a victim, inviting listeners to wonder just how much of what he sees is real and how far he’ll go to claim the freedom he’s been denied.
