In the twilight of a Paris evening, a Hungarian prince finds his world shattered by a devastating revelation: the woman he loves has been the secret mistress of his once‑trusted friend, Michel Menko. The betrayal cuts deep, turning love into fury and prompting the prince to hunt down the man who dared to betray both his heart and his honor. As he stalks the streets of Rue d’Aumale, he learns that Menko has vanished, possibly bound for the New World, leaving behind only cryptic clues and a lingering sense of danger.
A seemingly ordinary package becomes the focal point of the prince’s turmoil. Delivered late by a nervous valet, the parcel contains letters that could expose the scandal that has upended his life. The prince’s interactions with the servant reveal a tangled web of obligations, secrets, and the fragile line between duty and vengeance. Isolated in his hotel, he wrestles with his wounded pride, determined to uncover Menko’s whereabouts and restore the dignity of his name.
