A lone blind beggar sits by a dusty road, his world limited to sound and touch, when a great crowd swells around him. He learns that Jesus of Nazareth is passing by, and, despite being ignored and rebuked by the surrounding people, he cries out, “Lord, have mercy on me!” His persistent prayer catches the attention of the traveler, and the crowd steps aside to bring the man forward.
Jesus stops, asks the beggar what he desires, and gently restores his sight with a compassionate touch. Overwhelmed, the newly sighted man follows the teacher, praising the miracle and thanking God for His kindness. The tale invites listeners to reflect on the power of heartfelt prayer and the promise that even the most humble voice can be heard.
