Penny Parker, the quick‑witted president of her school’s art club, decides that the upcoming meeting should be held at the crumbling Marborough homestead, a place whispered about for its ancient wishing well. Determined to make the club more inclusive, she persuades the shy, talented newcomer Rhoda Wiegand to join the outing, hoping the shared sketching will break down the social barriers that have kept Rhoda on the outskirts.
As the girls gather their supplies and head toward the neglected estate, the atmosphere tingles with the promise of hidden stories. The Marborough house, long abandoned and draped in ivy, seems to guard secrets that reach back generations. With her keen eye for detail and a penchant for adventure, Penny senses that the well may hold more than just water—and that their artistic quest could uncover clues to a mystery waiting to be solved.
