Description

The first wave of settlers steps onto a world that looks like a dream. Blue grass sways under a scarlet sun, sapphire‑leafed trees blossom in pink, and the air smells of fresh flowers, making the planet feel almost like an Earthly fairy tale. The environment is breathable, temperate, and free of dangerous wildlife, so the official reports declare it perfect for colonization. Already the name Elysium is being floated for this new haven.

Yet the honeymoon atmosphere fades for James and his wife Phyllis as they adjust to the planet’s low gravity and strange sensations. Phyllis feels dizzy and unsettled, a reaction that seems more psychological than physical, and their communication—limited to public ethergrams— leaves gaps that deepen their strain. As the scouting team confirms the planet’s suitability, an undercurrent of unease hints that something about this idyllic world may not be as harmless as it appears.
