Bradley’s desperate bid for freedom launches him from a doomed lifeboat into the unknown skies of an alien world. With only a malfunctioning suit and a handful of breaths of fresh air, he crashes onto a planet that he never intended to touch. The moment his visor clears, he discovers a small, wary community that kneels before him, mistaking his sudden arrival for a divine sign.

Caught between being a condemned criminal and an unwitting deity, Bradley must decide whether to cling to his selfish plan of escape or confront the awe—and terror—of those who now look to him for salvation. As his own fear of “regeneration” looms, the story teeters on the edge of survival, identity, and the strange responsibilities that come with being seen as a god.
