In the enchanted realm of Pantouflia, a king and queen long for an heir, their palace walls lined with portraits of legendary ancestors—Cinderella, the Marquis de Carabas, even a cat in boots. Yet the queen, a skeptic of all things magical, refuses to acknowledge the fairies who have long watched over the royal line.

As the christening approaches, the king insists on inviting the ancient fairy godmothers, while the queen dismisses them as nonsense.
