The Babes in the Wood

A dying father bequeaths a modest fortune to his two young children, entrusting their care to a brother who promises to protect them. When the parents pass, the uncle’s greed surfaces, and he hatches a scheme to claim the inheritance by sending the innocent siblings into danger. He hires rough men to abduct the children, pretending they will be taken to a safe place in the city.
