Description

One bright morning a little rabbit named Benjamin slips away from the road after hearing the clatter of Mr. McGregor’s gig. He hops through the woods to his aunt’s burrow, where his cousins Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton‑tail and his brother Peter are gathered. Peter looks disheveled, his coat and shoes missing after a frantic chase by the scarecrow in Mr. McGregor’s garden. Benjamin offers to help, and together they plan a careful entry into the vegetable patch to recover the lost garments.

The two rabbits scramble down a pear tree, slipping into the lettuce beds and leaving a trail of tiny footprints. While they wrestle the coat and shoes from the scarecrow, a prowling cat discovers the basket they hide under, drawn by the scent of onions they’ve stashed as a gift. The cat settles on the basket, watching them nervously for hours, turning the simple adventure into a tense hide‑and‑seek. As the sun wanes, Benjamin and Peter must decide how to escape the garden and return home.
