A sprightly frog decides to set off on a merry wooing adventure, hat perched jauntily atop his head. He invites a clever rat and a shy mouse to join him, their quirky banter echoing the refrain “Heigho, says Rowley!” as they march through the countryside. Along the way, they barter for food, share jokes, and keep the rhythm of a lively, nonsense‑filled song that carries them forward.
When the trio arrives at the mouse’s humble hall, they knock loudly and are welcomed with a promise of music and merriment. Miss Mousey offers a freshly invented tune, and the frog, though a bit hoarse from a cold, tries to join in despite his trembling voice. Their revelry is suddenly interrupted by a prowling cat and her curious kittens, turning the light‑hearted gathering into a chaotic scramble.
